Notice of Community Outreach Meetings 4/12/18 & 5/8/18: Haven Center--Adult Use Marijuana Establishment

Notice is hereby given that The Haven Center Inc will hold a Communituy Outreach Meeting on April 12, 2018 at the Brewster Ladies' Library, 1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631 between 7:00-8:30 PM and a second Community Outreach Meeting on May 8, 2018 from 6pm-8pm to discuss the proposed siting of an Adult Use Marijuana Establishment in the Town of Brewster

The Haven Center Inc. intends to apply for a license to operate for one or more of the following Adult-use Marijuana Establishment licenses: Marijuana Cultivator; Marijuana Product Manufaturer; Marijuana Retailer, or Marijuana Transporter, to be located at 4018 Main Street, Brewster in accordance with M.G.L. Ch. 94G and the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission's regulations at 935 CMR 500.000 et seq.

Topics to be discussed at the meeting will include, but not be limited to:

The type(s) of Adult-use Marijuana Establishment(s) to be located at the proposed address;

  1. Plans for maintaining a secure facility;
  2. Plans to prevent diversion to minors;
  3. Plans to positively impact the community; and
  4. Plans to ensure the establishment will not constitute a nuisance to the community.

Interested members of the community are encouraged to ask questions and receive answers fr The Haven Center's representatives about The Haven Center's proposed facility and operations.

A copy of this notice has been published in a local newspaper at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the meeting and filed with the Town Clerk, the Planning Board, and Town Administrator of the Town of Brewster. This notice was also mailed at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the meeting to abutters of the proposed address of the Marijuana Establishment, owners of land directly opposite on any public or private street or way, and abutters to the abutters within 300 feet of the property line of the petitioner as they appear on the most recent applicable tax list.
