Twelfth Annual Brewster Art Exhibit

Co-Sponsored by the Brewster Cultural Council and the Brewster Ladies’ Library

March 3 – March 29, 2018
In the Brewster Ladies’ Library Auditorium
With a Reception on Saturday March 10, from 3 – 5 p.m.

This year’s exhibit includes approximately 30 Brewster artists representing many mixed media. We are excited to recognize artist Milton Teichman as our honoree for the show. Milton is celebrating fifty-six years of consistent work in painting and sculpture. In New York’s Hudson Valley, where Milton lived for many years, he studied with Max Schnitzler, Evelyn Fisher, William Pachner, and Ati Johansen. He exhibited extensively, with one-person shows at Bennett and Marist Colleges. On the Cape, where he moved in 1999, he studied with Joan Pereira, Paul Bowen and Jim Peters. He opened the Teichman Gallery in Brewster where he shows his work. His work has frequently appeared in the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. He’s had one-person shows at Cape Cod Community College, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and the Cahoon Museum. His art work shows the influence of Modernism.from Picasso to Henry Moore. Milton says of his art, “It is essentially an experience for the eye that can delight or move the emotions.”
