Mobile Dental Hygiene Services
Preventative dental services are now being offered at the Brewster COA. Mobile Dental Hygiene Services is excited to offer dental cleanings, exams, fluoride treatments, denture care, and education. Services are free to anyone with Mass Health Standard/ Medicaid up to four times a year. They offer affordable rates for individuals without dental insurance. Who's Your Agent?
This program will be offered on Friday, April 20th at 11am at your Brewster Senior Center. This is a public education and engagement program to help adults open the door to healthcare planning discussions with their families and care providers, and receive person-centered care all through their lives. You can start to make your own healthcare plan or help a competent loved one create their plan. This is an hour-long presentation with Julie Tooher, a trained facilitator from the VNA of Cape Cod. We encourage you to bring a family member or your caregiver. Please call the Brewster COA at 896-2737 to reserve your seat.
New to Medicare – April 11th @ 6pm
Once again, the Brewster COA will be offering their “New to Medicare” seminar. It will be held on Wednesday, April 11th at 6pm at 1673 Main Street. Come and get the straight story from our SHINE counselors about the important things you should know about your Medicare options. They will explain the world of Medicare a, B, C, and D, enrollment periods, medigaps, Medicare Advantage plans, and when you should sign up for coverage. Food to Encourage – beginning April 12th at 10am
Participants needed! In partnership with Lower Cape Outreach Council and the Barnstable County Public Health Nurses, the Brewster COA is looking to explore the impact of nutrition & healthy eating on Diabetes & Hypertension. This program is open to everyone with health monitoring by a nurse, including blood pressure and glucose checks. Each participant will receive a bag of fresh fruits/veggies every other week, along with a recipe for healthy living. Please call 896-2737 to register.
