Invitation for Bids: Breakwater Landing Coastal Resiliency & Habitat Restoration

Sealed bids for the Breakwater Landing Coastal Resiliency and Habitat Restoration project will be received at the Town Administrator’s Office, Brewster Town Office Building, 2198 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631, until 2:00 PM, on Monday August 10, 2015. Bids received on time will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately thereafter in Meeting Room C.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the restoration of coastal habitat through conversion of existing pavement to a coastal dune ecosystem; installation of stormwater management facilities; and construction of a replacement parking lot with pervious parking stalls at Breakwater Landing at 0 Breakwater Road, Brewster, MA 02631.

The successful bidder must be able to mobilize by September 8, 2015.
The successful bidder will be required to complete the entire project by November 30, 2015.

MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS, CHAPTER 30, S39M, AS AMENDED TO DATE APPLIES. Contract 2013-14 is subject to the minimum wage rates issued by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, in accordance with Chapter 149, Sections 26 through 27D.

The successful General Bidder must furnish 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and 100 percent (100%) Labor and Materials Bond.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a CERTIFIED CHECK OR BID BOND, payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid price.

Pre-Bid conference and site visit will be held at Breakwater Landing, 0 Breakwater Road, Brewster, MA 02631 at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.

The Town of Brewster reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be in the public interest to do so, or to delete or reduce the scope of any work in order to bring the cost within available funds.
