Open Position: Senior Department Assistant

The Brewster Assessors office is seeking applicants for a Senior Department Assistant. Position performs office, administrative and record keeping work to assist the Deputy Assessor with the operations of the office. Duties include, but are not limited to; assist the public and answer questions; maintain and update record systems for property and excise taxes; process road, water and septic betterment information; prepare state and local reports as required. Must possess strong computer and organizational skills. Ability to deal with the public politely and effectively both in person and over the phone. Minimum of two years office experience required, municipal experience and MAAO training a plus. This is a 35 hour a week, Grade 5A OPEIU union position, with a pay range of $22.02 - $29.98 per hour.
