Millstone Road Reconstruction: VHB Engineers and the Town have negotiated a scope of services and price to conduct survey and engineering for the reconstruction and refurbishing of the roadway. VHB and the Town will conduct public meetings on the project to solicit input from the residents. Project is to include plan for sidewalks, bicycles and general access. Surveyors are on site surveying and marking the road widths the length of the roadway
Rt. 137 (6A to Rt. 124): The Town is awaiting the submission of a scope of work and pricing to conduct engineering to replace the failing drainage system in this section of Rt. 137. Scope of work to include recommendation/engineering for sidewalks and bicycle access. Since our last update, there has been no movement on a contract for this work.
375 Paines Creek: The Town has executes a contract with Horsley Witten to undertake wetlands mapping, utilities and property line survey, conceptual design for parking, trail head and stormwater facilities and public meetings. We are currently awaiting parking lot options.
Long Pond Boat Ramp: Town executed a contract with Horsley Witten to finalize the design and permitting for the reconstruction of the boat ramp and beach parking facility. This work includes permitting work, stormwater management to capture and treat runoff, redesign of parking and reconstruction of the boat ramp. We are awaiting Town Meeting approval for funding.
Betty’s Curve/Rt. 6A Stormwater Mitigation: Town executed a contract with Horsley Witten for permitting, design and construction administration for stormwater management improvements at the intersection of Rt. 6A and Paines Creek Road. This property was purchased by the Town for the purpose of capturing and treating stormwater runoff from the surrounding roadways to keep it from infiltrating untreated into the marsh. We are currently waiting for the competion of engineering.
