Resident Input Requested on Proposed Dog Park Designs

The Brewster Dog Park Development Committee is moving forward with design work for the Town’s dog park, and is seeking public input about the design.

Brewster selected the Berkshire Design Group to design the park, and received a $25,000 grant from the Stanton Foundation to cover design costs. In 2017, the Select Board approved building the park on the 21-acre parcel that houses the Police Facility and Brewster Memorial Cemetery at 631 Harwich Road.

The next Dog Park Development Committee meeting is Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 6:00 PM, at Brewster Town Hall. The agenda will focus on the park design concept and specific site location. A second meeting that focuses on the final design will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 6 PM, also at Town Hall.

The public is invited to participate in both meetings. If you are unable to attend but wish to submit your suggestions or ideas, please send them to the Dog Park Development Committee by:

  • Email: dogpark@brewster-ma.gov
  • Postal mail: Dog Park Development Committee, c/o Brewster Town Offices, 2198 Main St., Brewster, MA 02631.

The Committee welcomes input so we can design a park that best meets the needs of both human and canine members of the community.
