Press Release: Town Administrator

BREWSTER—Brewster Administrator Michael Embury has submitted his resignation, and the Brewster Select Board will be voting and possibly signing the separation contract Monday night, 6/18. At this time technically the Town and Mr. Embury have a tentative agreement. If the separation contract is accepted by the board it will become effective 6/12/18.

The Select Board will identify an interim town administrator in the near future and will begin a search for a permanent replacement for Mr. Embury.

As this is a personnel matter, the Select Board will not be commenting any further.

Prior to 2016 when Mr. Embury accepted the Town Administrator position in Brewster, Embury served as Town Manager in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Embury replaced Charles Sumner who had served as Brewster’s Town Administrator for 29 years
