Seeking Member for Housing Authority

The Select Board is seeking one resident at large to serve on the Brewster Housing Authority until the next annual town election. The Housing Authority is overseen by a five member board. Meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of each month, at 5:30 PM. Four board members are elected and one is appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts.

The Brewster Housing Authority was created in 1986 and has two public housing properties. Frederick Court is housing for seniors and disabled persons. There are 32 units, located off of Brewster Road. Our family housing is located on Huckleberry Lane and consists of 24 units of two (2) and three (3) bedroom units.

If you are interested in filling this position, please send a letter of interest and resume for consideration to Robin Young, ryoung@brewster-ma.gov in the office of the Select Board no later than August 29, 2018. Prospective candidates will be interviewed at the September 10th Select Board meeting.

Note: A previous version of this post indicated the position was for a five year term. The position is until the next annual town election.
