The Town of Brewster seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Golf Operations for the Captains Golf Course. The position is responsible for all aspects of daily operations and fiscal performance of two town owned 18 hole golf courses situated on the same property. Develop and monitor annual operating budget, golf fee rates, revenue projections, five year capital plan, and marketing plan, in collaboration with the Brewster Golf Commission. Oversees operations of retail pro-shop and on-site restaurant concessionaire. Establishes course instructional programs to be administered by PGA professionals for the betterment of the game of golf. Responsible for achieving top quality playing conditions through oversight of the Superintendent of Golf Maintenance and the maintenance department. This position is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the clubhouse facilities. The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively with all constituents, including members, department heads, staff, elected and appointed officials and must be a consensus-builder.
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, Business Administrator or a related field, with a minimum of five years’ work experience related to the management of a golf course, and at least three years in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Membership in PGA of America or Golf Superintendent’s Association of America preferred.
This is a full-time, contract position with a comprehensive benefits package and an annual starting salary range of $90,000 - $115,000.
