Open Position: DPW Skilled Laborer/CDL Class A or B Driver

The Brewster Department of Public Works seeks a certified CDL Class A or B driver with a minimum of 5 years verifiable clean driving record. Position is responsible for operating trucks and equipment, and performing skilled labor for the DPW.  Duties include, but are not limited to; performing a wide variety of skilled and unskilled manual work to repair & maintain roadways, facilities and infrastructure; operators roll-off truck to transport solid waste and recyclables from the Town to appropriate facilities; trimming of trees, shrubs and mowing grass, preparing and maintaining sports fields and removal of debris; operates a variety of light and heavy equipment and participates in snow & ice removal. High School diploma or equivalent, and minimum of 3 years vehicle and equipment operation experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing to obtain MA Class 2B and 4G equipment operator licenses in the first six months of employment. This is a 40 hour a week, Grade 3 SEIU union position, with a pay range of $22.61 - $28.46 per hour.
