Open Position: Fire Prevention Officer

Brewster Fire is recruiting to fill the position of Fire Prevention Officer. Applicants must hold MA and/or National EMT/Paramedic certification. FF I/II Pro-Board certification is preferred. Candidates who do not hold Pro-Board certification will be required to attend the MA Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program. Must pass the MA physical agility test, background check, and a medical exam upon offer of employment. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license, be 21 yrs. of age or older, and possess a HS Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associates Degree or higher is preferred. Starting salary $59,873.00/yr for EMT; $60,905.50 for Paramedic. This is a Monday thru Thursday daytime position, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Brewster Fire employees must live within 6 air miles of Brewster Fire (1671 Main St. Brewster, MA 02631) within 9 months of date of hire. Applications may be picked up at Fire Headquarters 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday beginning Tuesday February 16, 2021.
